Top Ten Favorite Animated Shows

hello leatherman here, and my macaulay culkin MESS has come to a bitter end. now i know i never finished the event, but i realized that all the movies i could have reviewed would be better suited for another time. so to make up for my dumbassedness i have decided to put together a top 10 list of my favorite animated shows. what kind of cartoons do i like? CHECK OUT THE LIST SON!

10. Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog

this show is like watching the animated adventures of a someone high on PCP or some other crazy drug. seriously there is absolutely no continuity in this show. shit happens is the best way to describe it. seriously, stuff happens, people yell, and i feel great after every episode. its like watching someone dumber than you try REALLY REALLY hard to figure out a problem, all you do is sit back and laugh.

9. HomeStarRunner

am i cheating with this one? hell yes. but nothing makes me laugh harder than, a terrific athlete, a mexican luchador, and a sad arthouse rhinolaphant, WTF? alright so this (web)show is really weird but ultimately surreal. and totally worth checking out.

8. Beavis and Butthead

uh huhhaaha uuuuuhhh haha huh haaa

7. doomed megalopolis

doomed megalopolis (which i am doing a full-in depth review of) is a truly crazy, and graphically inspiring anime that has no boundaries. on the verge of being put in the "hentai" category i saved this one from going down that road. obviously anime has taken a toll from being adult to children over the last years but this cult classic anime does'nt seem to make that jump. and i cant bring it up without mentioning that there is a monster with a penis for a tongue. did that get your attention? are you still trying to get the joke in number 7? are you even reading right now? doomed megalopolis, totally F*ckin awesome.

6. Pokemon'

dont laugh at me (STEPHEN!) but i love every installation of this epic masterpiece of anime. undoubtedly the most famous and money making anime ever, this series has straight up BALLLLLLZ. its still going today! this is stuff i used to watch when i was in 4th grade. and know sitting upon the throne of high school i still watch it! granted i perfered the original 120 (mighta been 150) pokemon' i dont care that now there are like 4,567 new ones. i even saw the first movie with so much hype (and no-one forgets the first time they pee themself unconsioussly *spelling*)pokemon was a vital *spelling* part of my childhood and it remains as a strong part of me now. well not strong because thats kinda nerrrrrrrrrdy.

5. Rugrats

i remember watching an episode where phil said to poop in a toybox because chucky was getting potty trained. i am going to give you an example of now vs then you ready?

now: *light chuckle*
then: *hearty laugh, throws cup, spits on screen*

holy crap that was funny! just the idea of a little kid pooping in his toybox is so funny!!!! i mean what? who scripted that. now there werent many other episodes as strange as this one but c'mon, that alone makes it worthy of getting on the list.

4. Super Mario World

no other show based off of a video game got it right except for super mario world. i loved everything from the game soundtrack, to the fact that it takes place in like, a cavemanified version of the mushroom kingdom (dughhhhhh yoshi is a dinosaur)EVERRYTHNG now granted this show might suck a little. but it was a good show, especiially since i played super mario world religiously as a kid. i was the king of the game, and the show was my trophy.

3. Thundercats

oh thundercats, i never watched thee as a child. but i'm making up for it now. thundercats was kickass back then (i think) and its kickass back now! (lame) i love the theme of this show and the great action. thats really all i have to say, that and cheetara is a hot feline female GRRRRRRROWLLLLLSNAAARF.

2. Sonic the Hedgehog/satAM

leatherman?
yes?
didnt you already talk about this show?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
because sat/AM is actually a completely different sonic the hedgehog show. its got a gripping story, creative characters and really catchy theme song. the show was one of the few i watched as a kid that actually had a deep story but every episode didnt rely on the last one. this way a new viewer could come to the series on any episode and enjoy it. it worked and it got alot of m y friends hooked using that angle. the show was great and sally (even though she is a chipmunk) was a hot animated.... chip...munk. (immmma dork)

1. He-Man

ok you probably already knew this, but he-man and the masters of the universe is my favorite animated series ever. i love the stories, i love the characters, i love the morals, and i love the animation. the series is definetly memorable too because when i snuck downstairs to go watch Super Mario World, early in the morning, sometimes it would be this show. incredibly pissed off that it wasnt SMW, i still was not going to ignore the fact that i woke up way to damn early, so i watched it. and it was alright... watching it nowadays, i love it, and i love all the reboots the series has gotten. hell i even love SHE-RA the little girls he-man spin off. he-man and the masters of the universe. i have the power... do you?

-well there you have it my top 10 favorite animated shows, my hands hurt.

Macaulay Culkin Month: The Good Son

the good son Pictures, Images and Photos

i like to start off with a bang. let you know something horrible is about to happen. macaulay culkin stars as straight up devil spawn in this not so thrilling 90's thriller. and elijah wood (who is my favorite child star) plays mac's cousin. so what is this movie about? EVIL! HIGHWAYS! DEAD DOGS! CLIMBING! i pretty much explained it all right there... or at least those are all the things that will actually "thrill you".
to be completely honest i love this film. its one of my favorites, and its the only of mac's i actually felt proud of myself for buying. the movie is about a young boy, mark (elijah wood) who's mother has recently passed away. mark's money grubbing father goes to japan for two weeks and leaves mark with his uncle, aunt, and two culkin cousins. yeah i said two, because this is a culkin TWOFER! mac's real sister quinn culkin actually has a bit as the young sister of henry (mac). henry is a little boy who enjoys all the sweeter things in life, like, realistic highway dummies, nail guns, dangling your cousin from an extraordinarily high tree house etc. life is sweet, until mark has had enough of this evil. i really mean it. this film sells mac as an evil grade schooler!
what follows is mac getting away with everything as mark tries to tell his uncle, aunt, and therapist what mac has been doing. the movie goes from normal to just insane. ending in one of the most sickening climaxes i have ever seen. now i know i said that this movie is'nt all that thrilling... but thats because i have seen it at least 12 times. and the first time i saw it i knew the ending (thank you dad BLAGHH). but to a good son virgin this movie might actually be thrilling. personally its not. but it is entertaining as hell. watching that young elijah wood is really fun. i love elijah wood, and a little bite size version of him is even better.
Remember Forever Young or North. Elijah Wood Pictures, Images and Photos

all in all this movie is brilliant definetly give it a watch. its one of mac's finest. although its not his best, its definetly on par with "party monster" in the entertainment aspect. give it a watch you wont be dissapointed.

DVD SPECS: a big thanks to 20th century fox for releasing this in a double sided disc package. that means i actually get full screen and widescreen! the movie can be watched in english, spanish, and french, but only subtitled in english and spanish. on the disc for special features there is a 16 minute docufeaturettementary i dont know what to call it. and of course a trailer (although this is the short tv trailer and not the theatrical trailer). its a bare bones release with a little bit of meat.

WTF? what the food: Mcdonalds Angus Third Pounder

Angus Burger Pictures, Images and Photos
this
hello! welcome to WTF? what the food. today i will be reviewing the new angus third pounder from mcdonalds. lately i have been eating alot of mcdonalds food, and enjoying. which is disgusting considering... well the food is disgusting. but its cheap and at least edible. my favorite burger WAS the big mac until mcdonalds released the new ANGUS THIRD POUNDER. this beefy beast promised to be the answer to mcdonald's "taste crisis", and, well actually is the answer to the "taste crisis". i have had 3, one of the bacon ones, and two of the "deluxe" ones. i have not had the mushroom and swiss thing, basically because i think mushrooms and swiss cheese are icky. so, its impossible for me to review that one.

BACON AND CHEDDAR: this was the first of the ANGUS burgers i had, and i can honestly say that i was dissapointed. the size of this thing alone got me excited, truly this was a burger that meant business. the cheese was melty as f*ck, and the bacon was dry though. the first couple of bites were satisfying but as soon as i got into the toppings, the taste changed from new to processed in a heartbeat. this burger had no taste different than a regular mcdouble and it suffered because of that. the bacon was not even different because i had to pick it off. it was like bacon jerky. which is nasty.

DELUXE: this is the showstopper. the one i am actually addicted to right now, i have had 2 of these and already i can taste a huge improvement over mcdonalds other processed meals. the meat is covered lightly in salt and pepper, it comes with krinkle cut pickles, red onions, tomatoes, mayo, mustard, and lettuce. both times i have had it the meat has been juicy and delicous, never dry. which was different for a burger i like at Mcdonalds because usually one out of two times eating it the meat is dry (still waiting for that to happen). this is the go to burger if you hate mcdonalds food. it tastes like a regular burger from anywhere else... only put together faster. bottom line, this is unlike any mcdonalds food i have ever tasted. its better, more quality, and i dont feel like a slob after eating it.

OVERALL: the burger is great but make sure you stick to the DELUXE. the other two dont seem as win win as the main attraction. make sure you try this before they move it off the menu.
